What I look for when buying a Mini Truck!

A lot of people ask me what I look for in a truck. And it’s difficult to answer because there are so many factors to consider.

So... you've made the decision to get a Mini Truck. I'm sure you have done some research, so you know there are a lot of makes and models out there to choose from. But how do you narrow it down to just one? What should you look for when buying a Mini Truck?

Here are the six things I check:

  1. Is it in good mechanical condition? The last thing you want is to buy a truck that doesn't run right or blows smoke.
  2. Does it have body damage? If it's an older model, chances are it has some dents or scratches, but they shouldn't be anything too bad.
  3. Does the interior have any problems? Make sure the seats aren't ripped up, the carpet isn't stained, that there is no mold anywhere, etc. A little dirt can be cleaned up easily enough and shouldn't keep you from buying a truck, but if there are serious problems with the interior then you may want to pass.
  4. Check for rust and corrosion. Can be found in many places on any truck, but especially under the hood and around the wheel wells.
  5. Look for leaks. This can include oil, transmission fluid, and coolant among others. These are signs of bigger problems that could cost money later on down.
  6. Size/Make/Year. The size of the truck is important because if you want to do any work on it, you need to be able to get into the engine area comfortably or fit a larger bed on it if you plan on carrying things in the back of your truck. That also goes hand in hand with what model/make you want to buy as well. For example, if you want a Toyota Hilux then you will be limited to what year model you can use since

Also, Here is a list of things to look for when buying a Mini Truck.

  1. Can you afford it?
  2. Is this from a good company?
  3. Is the color something you will like in the long run?
  4. What size bed will suffice?
  5. What is the Gas Mileage?
  6. What is the engine size, and horsepower?
  7. Are the tires worn out or cracked?
  8. Does it have any rust on it?
  9. Do you know how much maintenance will be needed in the long run?
  10. Can you get in and out of it with ease?

Hope these question will help you in taking a solid decision whenever you are ready to buy your very first Mini Truck

My priorities foremost while buying a mini truck will be to look for its fuel efficiency.  The next would be its capacity to haul any load and the cost be within budget.

Here’s a list of few important things to consider before buying a minitruck. First and foremost will be fuel economy, then check its capacity to haul loads, cost of the vehicle is another factor; it should be priced within your budget. Performance is another factor to be considered.

I would first check whether the Mini Truck can handle the load capacity I operate with. Is the truck reliable.  Are the spares readily available? Which variant has the lowest operating costs? If it fulfills these conditions would consider buying them.

Budget and fuel efficiency is most important aspect for me.

Maintenance costs along with fuel efficiency will be my most concern of all time. Anyhow budget will the foremost thing for me before buying a minitruck.

Before finalizing the buy, I do check the vehicle history regarding previous ownership, maintenance records, and performance in general. Budget is also an important factor. I usually have an experienced mechanic go through the vehicle an specifically find defects or faults if any. Lastly, if everything is satisfactory, I do a test run and that is when I make my mind to own it. This process have worked for me so far.
